Texas is the second-largest state in the nation, with a $2.6 trillion economy that ranks among the top 10 in the world. More than 31 million people call it home — a figure that has nearly doubled in four decades — and projections show another 10 million residents on the way by 2050.
But past performance is not indicative of future results. Texas’ third century will only be its greatest if the state makes the right investments now in the systems every Texas depends on: education, health, water, energy, and infrastructure.
